A GUIDE FOR STUDENTS AND EMPLOYEES ON SEXUAL HARASSMENT/SEXUAL MISCONDUCT

This guide is intended to help you with obtaining Information, 获得支持和帮助, and filing a complaint if you have experienced sexual harassment, 性侵犯, 家庭暴力, 约会暴力, 和/或跟踪. A number of federal laws and regulations, 包括第九条, VAWA, 以及《克莱利法案, mandate how the college must respond to these offenses.

HOW TO REPORT SEXUAL MISCONDUCT

You are encouraged to report and may utilize any or all of the following options:

  • Make a complaint to OPE电子竞技官网’s 第九条 Coordinator. This begins an 行政 process that could result in college-related sanctions.这不是刑事诉讼.
  • Make a report to the appropriate law enforcement agency.This could result in criminal action being taken, such as criminal charges.
  • Engage with Confidential Support and Advocacy services. If reporting parties wish that the details of an incident be kept confidential, they should speak with resources that can maintain confidentiality.This will not result in any criminal charges or college-related sanctions.This does not limit your ability to report to law enforcement or the 第九条 Coordinator in the future.
  • 寻求医疗护理. A Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) at the hospital will offer you a 性侵犯 forensic exam for DNA evidence collection as well as sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, 艾滋病毒预防, emergency contraception and injury evaluation and treatment.

The College is committed to responding to sexual harassment and is required by Federal Law to investigate all allegations and take remedial action deemed necessary to preserve your safety and that of the community, whether or not you wish to make a formal complaint. Employees of the college are expected to report all disclosures of sexual misconduct to the 第九条 Coordinator.

支持措施

A party should contact the 第九条 Coordinator if they are interested in supportive measures. Supportive measures may be provided even if the reporting party does not want to file a formal complaint. “Supportive measures” means non-disciplinary, non-punitive individualized services designed to restore or preserve equal access to the College’s education program or activity without unreasonably burdening the other party. These measures are designed to protect the safety of all parties or the College’s educational environment, 或者阻止性骚扰. Supportive measures or remedies may include referrals to counseling, extensions of deadlines or other course-related adjustments, modifications of work or class schedules, 校园陪护服务, mutual restrictions on contact between the parties, 工作地点的变化, 休假, increased security and monitoring of certain areas of the campus, 以及其他类似的措施.
